Nurse Manager – Float Pool & Per Diem Pool
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week, Day Shift
Location: Newark Campus

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and influential nursing leader to serve as Nurse Manager of the Float Pool & Per Diem Pool.
This highly visible leadership role is responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial oversight of a dynamic team that supports patient care across multiple specialties and locations. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring safe staffing, fostering caregiver engagement and professional development, advancing quality outcomes, and promoting a culture grounded in ChristianaCare's core values of Love and Excellence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who inspires confidence, drives accountability, and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for patients, families, and caregivers alike.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Float Pool and Per Diem Pool.
Ensure safe staffing, scheduling, and effective resource allocation.
Foster a culture of quality, safety, service excellence, and professional nursing practice.
Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate nursing staff.
Support quality improvement, patient experience, and caregiver engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
Manage department resources and contribute to budget planning and stewardship.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Completed Master's degree in nursing or alternatively, completed BSN with a Master's degree in healthcare or business management field.
Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required; Nurse Executive certification preferred
Five years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience
Current RN licensure accepted in the State of DE
BCLS certification

Annual Compensation Range $121,180.80 - $193,897.60This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
